Enhancing learning and teaching through technology

Learning and teaching through technology helps to mainstream technology-enhanced processes for learning in higher education. Including technology in education helps to shape an increasingly diverse student body’s learning and teaching experience over time.

Learning Analytics Cymru

From September 2018, HEFCW is to part-fund two years of a new three-year project to help universities and colleges to analyse student data to help improve support, so that students experience better learning outcomes.

The Learning Analytics Cymru project, which will fund higher education providers over three years to work with Jisc’s learning analytics service, will enable institutions to recognise data patterns in order to help students to understand their own learning needs and identify areas for improvement, which should increase retention rates and better deliver widening access priorities.

Enhancing Learning and Teaching through Technology (ELTT) project 2007-2018

In March 2018 we published a final report into the review of Enhancing Learning and Teaching through technology. The review set out to evaluate the strategy based on achievement of its aims and the impact of investment.

A summary of the project is available, and we created a summary document of the impact that the strategy had on higher education institutions.

As part of our last revised version of the strategy, W14/31HE, higher education institutions provided us with:
