We publish a range of statistical information relating to the higher education sector.
Higher education and further education institutions provide information to us via a number of data surveys and information requests. These are used to calculate funding allocations, monitor progress, inform policy, and publish information on the higher education sector in Wales.
These measures help us to monitor higher education providers. They are used at institutional and national level for monitoring sector and institutional performance against priority areas, informing institutional fee and access planning and developing policy.
The statistics team collects data from higher education institutions and further education colleges in Wales through a number of data surveys. Find out about the data we collect and how it is used.
The Higher Education Statistics Agency – HESA – collects data on our behalf related to student activity, finance, higher education business and community interaction, and staff.
