We routinely make a wide range of information available, including through circulars, reports, Council papers, consultation documents and press releases. Most of this information can be accessed through this website. We also make a variety of information available to the higher education sector, partner funding bodies, stakeholders and staff as part of normal administrative processes.
Access to Information
Our Access to Information policy includes:
- the principles guiding our approach to openness
- the principles under which we will publish information or make it available on request
- the circumstances in which we may withhold information
The Access to Information Policy also provides details of how to request information held by HEFCW.
If you are dissatisfied with our response to your information request you may ask us, in writing, to conduct an internal review in line with our Information Request Appeals Procedure.
Our Publication Scheme, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, sets out:
- the information we publish or intend to publish as a matter of course
- how this information will be published
- whether the information is available free of charge or on payment
The Scheme brings together the many different types of information produced by HEFCW in a structured way. It contains broad topic areas which reflect our functions. These topic areas are broken down into the classes of information we undertake to publish.
