Procurement

Our procurement function provides procurement expertise both to our staff and to the higher education (HE) sector in Wales. It raises the profile of procurement internally and within the HE sector. It also helps to communicate Welsh Government procurement policies to the HE sector and other key stakeholders.

The procurement function within HEFCW:
  • supports the procurement activity that takes place within HEFCW to ensure that value for money is obtained when purchasing its own goods, services and works, and to ensure that procurement best practice is always followed
  • works with the HE sector to advise and support on best procurement practice
