Data disclosure control

Data disclosure controls are methods applied to aggregated data in order to prevent the possibility of revealing information about individuals. HEFCW has adopted a data disclosure control methodology based on the HESA Services standard rounding methodology

All staff, consultants employed by HEFCW on projects involving individualised data and recipients of individualised data from HEFCW via data sharing agreements are responsible for ensuring that the data disclosure control methodology has been applied appropriately to aggregate data relating to individuals in any data that they share externally.
