  • This circular alerts universities to an opportunity to submit bids to a further round of the UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF). The Fund supports capital investment in major new research facilities in universities which have a significant track record of research excellence.

  • This consultation circular seeks the views of institutions on the introduction of a requirement to develop and maintain a publicly available summary carbon management strategy. It is proposed that this document would set out the ambitions of the organisation in terms of carbon and energy reduction, the intended actions to progress this agenda, together with an annual progress report.
  • The consultation seeks to build on the work previously undertaken by the Carbon Trust Wales and HEFCW in 2012/13 which provided institutions with individual reports on their performance in this area.

  • This circular sets out details of research capital funding that will be provided in 2013-14 to qualifying institutions. There is a requirement on all qualifying institutions to submit details of intended expenditure in 2013-14 in the required format by the 30 September 2013, but only if proposals have changed from the previous report submitted at 31 January 2013. All qualifying institutions are required to provide a report on the intended or actual use of the current or previous funding by 31 January 2014, and intended priorities for the following year.

  • This circular provides guidance to Welsh institutions who wish to charge above the basic fee rate of £4,000 in 2014/15 for UK and EU full-time undergraduate courses and those postgraduate courses, such as PGCEs, that are subject to regulated undergraduate fees. These institutions are required to submit a one year fee plan detailing the additional investment they will make in support of equality of opportunity and the promotion of higher education, and the objectives they will set to secure these outcomes.
