W04/78HE: Open University: Transfer of Funding for Teaching From the English to the Welsh Higher Education Funding Council
You may be aware that the Open University has, over the past year, been considering whether the time is now right to seek a transfer of its funding for teaching in Wales from HEFCE to HEFCW. A similar transfer of funding from HEFCE to SHEFC for the OU’s teaching in Scotland took place in 2000.

W04/67HE: Financial Contingency Funds 2003/04: Unspent Allocation
Each year HEFCW issues, on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government, Financial Contingency Funds to institutions with HE provision. In 2003/04 institutions were able to carry forward up to 10% of their total Financial Contingency Funds income for that year – that is, funds allocated in 2003/04 plus funds brought forward from 2002/03 plus any interest earned.
