Learning, teaching and students
The higher education (HE) sector has grown over the past decade, with increasing numbers and diversity of students, increased demand for flexibility of provision, and greater scrutiny regarding quality of provision and relevance of provision to the economy. These issues have presented major challenges to the HE sector in Wales.
- Teaching, curriculum and assessment are at the core of the student learning experience and effective learning outcomes.
- They impact on graduate employability and relevance of skills gained to the economy.
- We aim to ensure that all learners have access to a good quality learning experience.
- We want to assist institutions in providing increased flexibility and accessibility of provision, including facilitating Welsh medium education and taking account of equality and diversity.
For our Future is the Welsh Government’s strategy and plan for higher education in Wales, building upon and replacing Reaching Higher, and responding to the Jones Review of Higher Education.
