GO Wales
HEFCW sponsors the Graduate Opportunities Wales (GO Wales) programme, which helps HE students and graduates in Wales to find work - or work experience - and encourages Welsh businesses to look to home grown talent to meet their high level skills needs.
The programme is delivered from ten Welsh higher education institutions and offers services to undergraduates, graduates and businesses throughout Wales.
Services include:- work tasters for students and graduates enabling them to learn more about their chosen career
- paid work placements for students and graduates
- financial support for SMEs to train and develop their graduate level staff
- a Graduate Academy Programme to help underemployed and unemployed graduates to access work and work experience while developing their higher level skills
- a Freelancers Academy programme for those wishing to explore or take their first steps towards a freelance career
GO Wales is currently partially supported by European Social Fund Convergence funding.
