Studying in Wales
Universities in Wales offer a range of courses to suit learners at many levels:
- foundation degrees, which are combined with workplace learning
- certificates, or graduate certificates and diplomas
- full-time and part-time undergraduate bachelors degrees
- taught or research masters degrees
- postgraduate certificates and diplomas
- doctorates
- adult and continuing education
A number of higher education (HE) courses are also offered at certain further education colleges.
In the 2007/08 academic year, there were more than 125,000 enrolments onto HE courses in Wales, of which 28% were part-time, and the HE sector in Wales welcomes some 12,000 international students a year.
