Financial and other support for students

Fees and financial support are different within each of the countries of the UK. Wales sets its own fees upper limit and financial packages for students from Wales, the rest of the UK, the European Union, and the rest of the world.

While HEFCW gives funding to higher education (HE) institutions in Wales, we do not offer any bursaries or grants to students or projects directly. However, we do regulate HE providers' fee plans, which summarise the bursaries and scholarships offered by individual institutions using the additional funding they raise through charging tuition fees. You can find links to current fee plans on the right hand side. Links to fee plans from 2012 can be found on the Full-time undergraduate fees from 2012 page.
