History of Trinity University College

Established in 1848 to train teachers for Church Schools, Trinity is the only University Church College in Wales.  Trinity offer vocationally focused degree programmes  through the medium of English, Welsh or bilingually. Trinity has a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has developed expertise in a number of key areas. The University College sees itself as a community university that serves the needs of Wales and beyond. It has developed an international dimension through links in the USA, China and Japan, in particular.

Location

Located on the outskirts of Carmarthen, a busy market town in South West Wales, it is a campus based university college.

Trinity University College identifies its mission as follows: To advance Trinity University College, a Church in Wales community university college, as a provider of quality bilingual higher education and training, that makes an effective contribution to the economic, social, spiritual and cultural prosperity of Wales.
