History

Swansea Metropolitan University is one of the newest universities in the United Kingdom and received its university title in January 2008. Formerly known as Swansea Institute of Higher Education, it has been a centre for the delivery of vocational higher education for more than one hundred and fifty years. Its School of Art was established in 1853 and School of Teacher Education in 1872.

Location

The University is located in the city of Swansea. There are four main campuses at Townhill, Mount Pleasant, Alexandra Road and Dynevor.
